Artist's Description
A continuation of my guitar series. I am a big fan of the White Stripes and Jack White in particular. This painting is inspired by the White Stripes early motif of the peppermint candy. I also love the look of this Airline guitar. It's got a unique shape that goes well with Jack's unique interpretation of the blues. I hope you enjoy looking at this as much as I do.
About John Gibbs
Greensboro based artist, John Gibbs, has been painting since early 2000. While working in Chicago as an Art Director he began painting as a more personal creative outlet. His work is still influenced by his work in computer graphics and commercial art. John’s work has been seeking a balance between representation and abstraction or ambiguity. John draws inspiration from landscapes, people, animals, and things. Through the creative process of rendering these things he shows the viewer a different perspective and interpretation from his life experience.
