Started working on a series of sport fish. I love the color and lines of these large fish. I tried to keep the painting fairly stylized to emphasize the the smooth lines and beautiful color of the water and fish.
Greensboro based artist, John Gibbs, has been painting since early 2000. While working in Chicago as an Art Director he began painting as a more personal creative outlet. His work is still influenced by his work in computer graphics and commercial art. John’s work has been seeking a balance between representation and abstraction or ambiguity. John draws inspiration from landscapes, people, animals, and things.
