I created this work after being inspired by the film "Fuel". The film as well as the painting are about Bio Fuels which were originally meant to fuel the diesel engine designed by Rudolph Diesel. Even today all Diesel engines can run on Bio Fuels with no alteration to the engine.
About John Gibbs
Greensboro based artist, John Gibbs, has been painting since early 2000. While working in Chicago as an Art Director he began painting as a more personal creative outlet. His work is still influenced by his work in computer graphics and commercial art. John’s work has been seeking a balance between representation and abstraction or ambiguity. John draws inspiration from landscapes, people, animals, and things. Through the creative process of rendering these things he shows the viewer a different perspective and interpretation from his life experience.
