For those who appreciate the beauty of fish and fishing, I've started working on a series of fish paintings. I love the colors and form of these big sport fish. Don't let this one get away.

Greensboro based artist, John Gibbs, has been painting since early 2000. While working in Chicago as an Art Director he began painting as a more personal creative outlet. His work is still influenced by his work in computer graphics and commercial art. John’s work has been seeking a balance between representation and abstraction or ambiguity. John draws inspiration from landscapes, people, animals, and things. Through the creative process of rendering these things he shows the viewer a different perspective and interpretation from his life experience.  John’s work is recognizable by its use of intense colors, cloud scapes, line work, and graphic style.
